MIKE LAW

Mike ‘Law’ Boguslawski began his musical journey at the age of 9 years old.  Starting with guitar lessons and moving to the drums at 11 years old, Mike never limited himself to playing just one instrument.  Fast forward to 2004 and Mike is known around the Hartford and Springfield blues scene as the Young Gun of the area.  Paying his dues and laying down the ‘Law’ with his unique brand of Deep Blues.

Finding American roots rock, rhythm and blues for the first time he was won over.  The soul, the passion and the strength of the music made him realize what his true love in life was.  His musical influences include the likes of Johnny Guitar Watson, George ‘Harmonica’ Smith, Little Walter, Wynonie Harris, Johnny Otis, T Bone Walker and Gene Vincent just to name a few…

His performing highlights include playing with national and local blues acts that include; Sean Costello, Nick Moss and the Fliptops, Greg Piccolo, Gene Donaldson, Chris Tofield, Ryan Hartt and the Bluehearts, Gina Gunn and the Bullets, Burt Teague and Tim Macdonald.  With the stamp of approval from many local and national acts, Mike is poised and ready to reach his musical goals and aspirations.

C.T. Ricci started playing guitar at the age of 13.  Over the past 10 years, Carl and the band he created, Better Off Blue, have been rocking and stomping all over CT and MA.  He continues to play in the band he started even up until today. He also shuffles to gigs as a member of other area acts including the great Gene Donaldson and the Stingrays and regularly frequents many jams in the New England area.

Carl met Mike near 1999 and they have grown closer then ever musically; sharing many of the same influences.  The more they hung out and shared ideas the wider both of their musical tastes have expanded.    Carl and his playing have been influenced by the likes of Elvis Presley, Jimmie Vaughan, BB King, Kid Ramos, Duke Robillard and Johnny Guitar Watson.
